Differences in Online Writing and School Writing

My writing for online it definitely different from traditional school writing. When I write stuff online, I do not consider grammar rules. I just write what I want and do not care if I use the correct pronoun rules and stuff like that. When I write for school, I make sure all of my spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure are accurate.

When I write for school, I am not really motivated to write because I am assigned a certain topic. When I write online, I write whatever I want. I do not have a specific topic to write and can write on whatever I want.

When I write for school, my purpose to write is for a grade and because I professor wants me to. When I write online, my purpose is because I want to write. I may write to release steam or to get thoughts out of my head.

When I write online, my audience is myself and my friends. When I write for school, the audience is the professor, so everything has to be perfect.

In conclusion, all of my techniques for writing is different for online and school. Online writing is just for fun and is not really formal. School writing is assigned for a specific topic and is more formal.

Obama Wins Sadly

Well it is officially projected that Obama won. I am really sad and depressed because I did not want him to win and I do not think American is ready for a president like him. We will see how it goes, but i do not think it is going to go well with him as president. I think American made a mistake and they will regret their decision. McCain too me is the better candidate and should have won.

10:22 Update

McCain just won Texas and Mississippi!! Yeah!! Senior McCain advisors though say it is grim and McCain will not win. :( I am not happy!! I really wanted him to win because I agree with his position on a lot of issues.

10:04 Update

GOP in Ohio I think are saying it is over for McCain and that Obama has won. Obama needs only 63 electoral votes and he will more than likely get them. I am really depressed because I really wanted McCain/Palin to win. Now we will have to see what happens until Obama gets 270. Who knows what will happen, but Obama more than likely will win. :(

9:45 Update

Things are not looking good for McCain and I am sad. CNN did a hypothetical results and could not get McCain to the magic number of 270, so I am really doubting if he will win. Who knows though? Something could happen that changes the outcome, but things are not looking good.

The Color Blue

Normally, I like the color blue because it is my favorite color. Tonight, I do not like blue because it means less electoral votes for McCain. I am hoping to start seeing more red so McCain can get more electoral votes. At least he won Georgia had now has 64 electoral votes, but is still behind by 110 electoral votes. On another sad note, Democrats have a majority in the Senate which means that if Obama wins most of his bills and laws will pass.

9:00 Projections

Well, sadly Obama needs 96 more electoral votes to win and things are not looking good for McCain. I have a feeling Obama is going to win sadly, unless a miracle happens. I do believe in miracles, so who knows. I hope a miracle does happen and McCain will win, but things are not looking good.

8:55

I am really nervous right now. I am seriously starting to doubt if McCain is going to win with Obama starting to pick up more and more electoral votes. Also I think the Senate is going to have a Democratic majority.

Pennsylvania

I am kinda sad that Obama won the state, but it usually goes Democratic. Too bad the voters did not listen to McCain and Palin when they were campaigning there this weekend. I hope McCain starts winning state. At least it looks like McCain will win Virginia and Georgia. 34 to 102 not looking good.

New Hampshire

Sadly Obama just won New Hampshire. I am not happy because of all of the states Obama is winning. I hope McCain starts winning some big state so he can have a chance at winning.

VPs

All night long I have been hearing about where the presidential candidates are. I want to know where the VPs candidates are. Shouldn't Palin and Biden be holding rallies, like McCain and Obama are doing? They have been campaigning since they were picked as a running mate, so why are we not hearing about them now?

8 Results

I am not happy that Obama won all of the states that just closed, but it is just a projection, so it could change. I hope it does change and McCain can win more big states and get more electoral votes.

Vermont More

I am finally happy that CNN has votes reporting in Vermont. Now I am not mad that they were prematurely assuming Obama won

Vermont

Have you CNN say Obama won Vermont? None of the precincts are reporting. There are no votes showing up on CNN's website. To estimate a winner, you need to have precincts reporting there results. You cannot just assume Obama. You need to wait until results come in and not count your chickens before they hatch. They need to give McCain a chance and just assume he will not win.

Results

CNN: Projects McCain wins Kentucky and I am really happy
CNN: Projects Obama wins Vermont and I am not happy, but at least it is less electoral votes than Kentucky. I want to know how CNN can project this when 0% of the precincts are reporting. This makes no sense. They are not giving McCain a chance.

Election Night Results

I am so excited to watch the results. This night will be a moment I can tell my children and grandchildren about since this is a historic election. I can also use it as a story for my students when I become a history teacher.
