Differences in Online Writing and School Writing

My writing for online it definitely different from traditional school writing. When I write stuff online, I do not consider grammar rules. I just write what I want and do not care if I use the correct pronoun rules and stuff like that. When I write for school, I make sure all of my spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure are accurate.

When I write for school, I am not really motivated to write because I am assigned a certain topic. When I write online, I write whatever I want. I do not have a specific topic to write and can write on whatever I want.

When I write for school, my purpose to write is for a grade and because I professor wants me to. When I write online, my purpose is because I want to write. I may write to release steam or to get thoughts out of my head.

When I write online, my audience is myself and my friends. When I write for school, the audience is the professor, so everything has to be perfect.

In conclusion, all of my techniques for writing is different for online and school. Online writing is just for fun and is not really formal. School writing is assigned for a specific topic and is more formal.
